A special CPR training will be held on Monday, October 15th from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the MMR Building, 834 S. Washington, 907-3698. The cost is $40.00 and open to any member interested in completing the three-four hour certification program. It is important that you contact the church office and provide your name, email and phone number in order for us to confirm your attendance. We need a minimum of 15 attendees in order to host this special training. ***Pastor Laffoon is requesting that all members of the Nurse’s Guild take this training.    


The Fourth Episcopal District (comprised of Canada, Chicago, Illinois, India, Indiana, and Michigan) Women’s Missionary Society, under the general supervision and leadership of Supervisor Penny Hartsfield White, will be holding a Queen’s Contest to raise funds throughout the district to help move its delegation of youth, young adults, and seasoned members to attend the 19th Quadrennial Convention in 2019.   Sister Joyce Odneal was selected to represent Bethel AME Church in the Queen’s Pageant.  We are asking for your prayers and financial support with Ads or patrons as she serve and be a blessing to one of the WMS Mission endeavors.  At the end of Read More …


We are looking for dedicated women who are interested and have a willingness to place love for Christ above personal feelings.  We exist to assist Pastor Laffoon and Rev. Williams and we are always under their direction.  Holy Communion and Baptism are two of the duties we are responsible for.  We invite you to join us andit will be a pleasure to work with you.


The Literacy Program will resume on December 5, 2017 through April 12, 2018 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Arthur Eddy Academy. It will include various activities designed to help Arthur Eddy Academy’s 3rd grade students become proficient readers.  All books and materials will be furnished.  A special training session for all adult tutors will take place at Bethel Church on Wednesday, November 8th at 2:00 p.m. promptly.  Applications for the program are available at the Church office.  Please see Rev.
